Hampstead sits between Wilmington and the coast — established, green, and right in the middle of where you need to be.
No long commutes. The home sits at the center of Wilmington's south corridor — coast to the east, city to the south.
The coast, the city, and everything between — a few of our personal picks.
Quiet stretches of open Atlantic and gentle sound-side access, fifteen minutes from the door.
Kayak, paddleboard, or watch the boats from the end of the road. The water is never far.
Local seafood, coffee, and everyday essentials without the tourist crush of the bigger beaches.
Historic downtown, restaurants, and the river — a worthwhile day trip when you have one off.
Hampstead doesn't have Wilmington's traffic or Wrightsville's parking problems. It's a working town — contractors, nurses, families — with a quiet main road and new developments coming in from the south.
The Intracoastal Waterway runs just a few hundred feet from the property. Topsail Island is fifteen minutes east. Wilmington — with NHRMC, restaurants, the airport — is thirty minutes south on Highway 17.
For anyone here on a contract, for a job, or making a transition: this is the part of the coast where you can actually afford to live, work, and still get to the beach on a day off.
